The Conference of the American Translation and Interpreting Studies Association is held every two years in the spring of even-numbered years.

2020 ATISA conference at the University of California - Santa Barbara

We are excited to announce that the next ATISA conference will be held March 31-April 3, 2022 at the University of California - Santa Barbara. The keynote speakers will be Moira Inghilleri (UMass Amherst), Loredana Polezzi (Stony Brook University), and Douglas Robinson (Hong Kong Baptist University). The theme of the conference is "Translation, Interpreting and Movement(s)". The full call for papers can be downloaded here.

The ninth biennial ATISA conference was held March 29 - April 1, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. The conference theme was Contexts of Translation and Interpreting and the conference website is available here

The keynote speakers for the conference were Sherry Simon (Concordia University) and Federico Federici (University College London). 

Applications to Host ATISA Conference Welcome

ATISA welcomes applications for hosting future ATISA conferences from qualified institutions. Potential conference organizers should submit a proposal to the ATISA President by email. For guidelines on submitting a proposal, see the following document.
