ATISA X Conference in Santa Barbara, CA

The 2022 conference will be hosted by UC Santa Barbara, March 31 - April 3, 2022. We are excited to be able to hold this conference after having had to postpone the 2020 conference, and we look forward to seeing you there to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of ATISA!

Showcasing Research

One of the main focuses of ATISA is the biennial conference, which brings together researchers from across the globe to present current, state-of-the-art research. With participants from the U.S. and abroad, this event is a chance to meet, share, and connect. Registration for the conference includes the following:

*The virtual presenter rate is only available to participants who will be delivering a paper virtually and will have access to the president's plenary session and the keynote presentations. ATISA is unable to accommodate fully virtual attendance for non-presenters.

**In order to take advantage of member-only rates, please make sure you have first registered as a member of ATISA and that you are logged into your account. The discount will be applied automatically to your registration fee at checkout.

^Conference dinner registrations must be submitted no later than March 20. We will do our best to accommodate any registrations for the conference dinner after March 20, but we cannot guarantee this will be possible. There are three food options that you may select from during conference registration (chicken, fish, or vegan/vegetarian).

Post Conference Events

On Sunday, the local conference organizers are providing two optional post-conference activities: a walking and architecture tour of historic Santa Barbara and a wine education and tasting event. Reservations are required and space is limited for both, so make sure to reserve your space during conference registration!

Walking Tour

Join us for a walking tour of historic Santa Barbara, with historical and architectural highlights. Make sure you bring your walking shoes to take in this hour-long tour of the sights and sounds of what is often promoted as the "American Riviera"!

Cost: $5/person

Wine Education and Tasting Event

This three-hour tasting session provides an introduction to the wine-making scene in California. A personal wine educator will walk the group through wine-making techniques, grape growing, and tasting notes for several local wines. Included in the event are tastings for four wines (two red and two white), tasting sheets, wine descriptions for each wine, and a cheese board to share.
